Do you need iPhone to be "brought" to your country? Don't you have eBay or friends in US or UK? Do you desperately need to sign a contract with overpriced tariffs?

I had mine months before it was launched in Ireland and even though it is available now, I would have to mistake my ass for my brain to sign that contract.

Unlocking it is a one-click operation these days. I thought everyone who had wanted one, bought it already.

There will be the new model soon, with 3G, 5MP camera and possibly GPS (beta software has support for these) - if you need them, but I'm sure it'll be unlockable as well.

For those on contract - jailbreaking is safe too (undoable), it allows you to install gazillions of free software on the phone.
My new favourite is the Pool:

BTW, sorry Canada, iPhone is a 'designed in California' device, useless with Winter handgloves..

    *chuckles
