not true, bill.
in fact i got a lot of job thru personal projects.
all i am saying, pro bono work is shit,
people are gonna put a lot effort in a 15 sec short,
so its logic there is pay involved.
if not, thats disrespect from the beginning,
its treating graphic design as an art form
and acting like you are doing him a favour, but its actually vice versa. its stuff like this that makes our job so fucked up.
like the unpaid pitches and all the other crap.
if you hire a beginning painter to paint your house,
would you also ask to do it pro bono, because its great exposure?let me end with some words
