    Joga ....

    1. create 4 shapes like that final shape using the rounded rectangle tool in Illo.
    2. Set fill to None, stroke to Black and desired thickness.
    3. Object > Path > Add Anchor Points (maybe not necessary, depends on your needs)
    4. Use the open arrow tool to delete points as needed. (select the point, hit delete)
    5. Control-J to connect stuff or adjacent shapes (connections will be straight)
    6. Filter > Stylize > Round corners
    will make straight connections curved, according to your settings.
