Actually, I take it back. When I was 11 I really, really wanted a telescope because I really, really wanted to be an astronomer (OK, I was a weird kid). I got one, but for some reason it was broken and my parents brought it back to the store, but they didn't have anymore to exchange it for so I never got the telescope.
And sadly, never became an astronomer....
