the libertines paved the way for bands like the artic monkeys and other recent bands.
if pete hadnt got himself fuct up on smack then then Pete and Karl definitely had the potential of being some of the best songwriters of this generation of musicians. Pete is genius but its muffled by the drugs.
definitely a waste of musical genius
id rate the wee singer dude from the arctic monkeys as an amazing songwriter - as good as pete.
on a sidenote has anyone heard some of the stuff from the singer from the arctic monkeys new band/project?
