I think Team Jackie thought it would be good to expose him to the UK audience considering his following from his old school Kung Fu movies. Nobody really wants to say Rush Hour! but then he's teamed up with Jet Lee (His duel with Donnie Yen in Shanghai Knights was pretty cool though) in The Forbidden Kingdom which hopefully won't flop.
