to a lesser degree, i am. but, i still think using a blog engine is like using photoshop for layouts and design; it is a tool band-aided to support a miss-use of fundamental training and/or planning.

i have NOTHING against wordpress, 'blog engines', or the like- truly. what i do take issue with is the belief and promotion that the technical framework used to support and publish a log of entries of 'content' can suffice and be passed off as a 'Content Management System' of a website. small detail or riff maybe, but there are fundamental differences in managing content from the data-level for display, and that which stems from the post-stamp.

    • Why is Photoshop bad for layouts and design again?TheFatBaron
    • ha, after reading the comment here a few times, I generally agree yeahFizik
    • blogging engines work for me (sometimes) because I still go through the planning/thought process of designFizik
