    Concept:
    I like the idea, but I think it could use a more dramatic ending (good triumphs over bad kind of thing).

    Execution:
    I like the animation very much, but when I saw the robot, I was kind of disapointed. I think it could use more "Milton Glaser ish Bob Dylan colored hair swirls" on its exterior to give a a more consistent look with the complexity of the interior drawings. It seemed a bit to simple.

    Also, I would only keep one shot of the commander in front of the heart to keep the impact of that specific scene. It seems a bit played out at the end... Same goes for the close-up of the commander's face when blinking.

    Ambiance:
    The animation style really suits the music well. Kind of reminescent of a melancholic Usavich cartoon.

    Hope it helps... I tried beeing as constructive as possible.
