college computers are not the best for testing, they take crap everyday from an infinite number of users who don't know shit about computers. this is probably the case of an abused mac.
I still have my old eMac at home (833 with 1gb ram) and he's not a great machine nowadays, only use it to watch movies and listen music. even web is slow on it...
if you want to try a mac, try a new one. what you're doing is like testing a 5 year old computer and expect good results...- This thin has sat under a desk for 2 yeArs. hence my borrowin it (i'm a teacher)Mojo
