i don't think you're being an old fart at all.. hell, last year i was just finishing up being a student... living in my own house (stupidly bought a friggin duplex!)... the asshole upstairs always had parties going on... i could smell the reefer through the vents, could hear every step, and dammit, if they weren't wrestling on the floor, i don't know WHAt the hell they were doing.. the whole year was like that and it sucked balls cause i always had 8 am classes.
i feel your pain.
it sucks.
and yes, be a bitch about it to them. even though they're students, they should still be civil to their fellow neighbors.
