- I live in the middle (centre of PT) so people here tend to think they have the "right" accent. There's really n s thing.********
- but to answer your question there's 5 accents: norte (north); coimbrão (classic); lisbon (common), alentejano (south)********
- alentejano divides into 2 accents: long-spoken (common) and algarvio (fast spoken - hard to perceive)********
- Although I live up north people say I have a Lisbon accent. Obviously, I reply, Lisbon is my hometown.********
