Go into Photoshop and try to use less semi-transparency (if possible). Lets say your background to where you're putting the PNG is a solid color...all of the places where the semi-transparency is going on you can fill with that solid color behind it to get rid of the semi-transparency. Or try to get rid of transparency altogether. Then re-exort. I've found that semi-transparency with a lot of detail is what causes the file size problems. Same things goes if you have an image background, you just have to put the image background behind it and try to position it perfectly. Another trick is to try and get rid of all of the minute details that aren't necessary (again, if possible and if you can deal without having them). It's a bit of leg work but it works.
