Also, BattleAxe your situation is incredible ridiculous.
I would have said something utterly repugnant to her, unless she looked good and I just hadn't seen her in awhile.
Repugnant may be too harsh, I'd definitely make a joke and let it be known that it was a ridiculous relationship in high school that was years ago, haha.
