    Dang, elektromuzak, that's pretty rough. Can't say I agree. I've never heard anyone who thinks Portland is racially diverse, it's about 98% white, the second whitest large city in the US, after Seattle. I'm from Oakland/Berkeley where I was the minority and the lack of diversity here is weird. Sure, every area has it's own clique, most cities do. The people here are the friendliest I've met anywhere, seriously, and friends and family that have visited me have expressed a similar feeling, and two friends have moved here since visiting.

    Every area has it's own flavor and attracts a certain segment of society, that happens everywhere. There are fewer assholes here than in most cities I've visited and lived in. My 2 cents :)
