actually, I think when he kissed that girl she passed some software on to him that would allow him to control machines outside of the matrix... kind of the way that guy put the software in the cake that chick was eating (i can't remember any of the characters names!). I thought the second movie was pretty good, not as good as the first. The sex scene was pretty damned pointless though.
