    The grid stays in. A friend had this nice model where the grid was only a rectangle in the middle but his camera was falling apart so i knew it wouldn't take the beating. So we used this one -- i wasn't in love with the grid but it definaly helps to "separate" us from the images.

    • Mines a 3x3 grid so a bit smaller than yours. I know its too late now, but you can swap the matte screens in some MF cameras. Not sure about the yashicas though.pom
