I know you ain't asking me Tim but I would use it for the following:
When I design a website I do the visuals in PS, in one file split by Groups of layers. As I do a lot of the work on my PowerBook and a screen shot will not get the whole site in in one go (browser window and all) hence why I would save out different layers as Jpegs to bring into Indesign for a presentation to the client.
