Here's a recent estimate of mine for some IA work:

Estimate came straight from my program Cashboard (http://www.getcashboard.com)
I find that estimating best/worst case scenarios is best for me. You'll get bled to death doing flat-rate projects. Don't do it!
Also - break up your estimates and projects into many steps, as mentioned previously. It helps separate the work and clearly define when something is done.
