I tore my ACL about 7 years ago. It's still torn, ripped right in half so it's technically not even attached anymore.
My doc has advised me to keep going as is until I take my next major bail. I can still snowboard and ride my bike like I used to, I just don't have any lateral support anymore so I have to wear a knee brace.
