for greedo:
maybe this is a phrase that only old people in america use?
"i had to walk, 10 miles, in the snow, uphill both ways."
once while talking with a girl from arizona, i used this phrase or something like it to attempt to be amusing while poking fun at the elderly. she didnt have much of a reaction then finally said, i dont get it. so i said, well you know how old people like to say that? and she had no idea.the more i thought about it, i realized: shes from arizona they dont have snow. they also dont have hills...
now i wonder if other people have heard phrases like this before
