These things are full-on nightmares, let me tell you. The only thing worse: a little girl's first birthday party. Don't get me wrong, I love kids. Not to mention, these people are great friends and their daughter is super cute. However: I don't want to hang around for 3 hours watching a very little girl open copious presents, many of which she cannot yet even comprehend. Then there is the fact that everything is pink. Not only has this friend of ours painted their kitchen a dead shade of pink for his wife, but the cake and the punch are pink.
Never in my life have I come so close to murdering a Care Bear.
