have a 20d, very similar to 30/40 and I can say that the D's felt much more solid and sturdy while the plastic of the XTi felt really cheap and flimsy. The XTi is also smaller than the D's so it doesn't feel as natural in the hand.
- Yep. If you have smaller than normal hands, the XTi will be a good fit. Otherwise go with the 40d.skwiotsmith
