I spent a 1&1/2 year in bcn, I think the spanish design scene is very good and has a very personnal identity.
There are a lot of studios but I don't think it's that easy to find work in one of them (depends of your skills, claro) and overall, I think they don't pay that well, for what I know.
I advice you to move to bcn or madrid...
