scribbler and 734, I was sort of in the same boat. I was stuck a dead-end agency with sleazy bosses. The suits only cared about the bottom line and that deadlines were met, not about the quality of work that went out....or that came in for that matter.
Finally I said F'it. I put together a quick portfolio site and managed to find a new gig working for creatives that cared about their work and clientele. Now every piece I've done for this company, so far, has been something I want in my portfolio. It's so refreshing to feel inspired again.
I don't know if I'm contributing here or not, but, the creative jobs are out there. You just have to find them. Long story short....Get off the couch and do something about it :)
