The problems from the mortgage crisis could snowball and get worse. That is possible.

It's also possible, if people stop panicking about losing everything, and go back to making sensible financial choices--in the marketplace, in the banks, and on the trading floors--for the long run, not only will crisis be averted, but prosperity will return.

But, we'll have to wait and see which attitude prevails.

I know I can squeeze a dollar hard enough to make the eagle cry, so if hard times come, I'm prepared. I don't want to do it, because I like to live large. But I can do what I need to get by, and take care of my family.

So there's no reason for me to be scared.

    • good insight, thats how I believe as well.
