If you threw out the original box--which, if you live in an apartment was probably a necessity--you can go buy a box at a Uhaul or UPS store, and fill it with foam peanuts, or those little inflatable bags.
That will certainly work if you're moving yourself. If you have movers, let them do it. If you're shipping it, I don't know what to do, except go to the Apple store and get another box.
