Do's & Don'ts | Graphic Design Resumes...
1. Keep it short and simple.Ttry to read your resume in under 30 secs.
2. Bring printed copies to ALL interviews.
3. No images, that's what your portfolio is for.
4. Experience means experience with something that relates to the job. I don't care if you worked at DQ in high school unless you made all their ads.
5. Resumes should be done in Word and Acrobat.
6. SpellCheck
7. SpellCheck again
8. Don't get to cute... again, that's where the porfolio comes in.
9. Don't include eighy URLS of your shit. Make one portfolio site with all the links there.
10. (True Story) Don't send urls to porn sites that you have designed unless you are applying for another porn site. Porn sites are 95% of the time off-limits in all resumes and portfolios.
