Interesting, just yesterday I was talking to family about the time I had meningitis and ended up in the Hspital twice in a single month. I am glad you're getting over it spooky, and yes, it can be very painful and freightening. I had it about three years ago, started loosing it, mostly because your brain is pretty much the most affected organ, and spent three weeks in the hospital since they were not sure if it was viral or bacterial (luckily it was only viral) before spending another 2 weeks at home in a dark room.
I ended up having 2 spinal taps, the second one, was done wrong and screwed up my back for about six months (which is the best side effect possible if something went wrong ;) and since it happened my head has not been the same. Try to stay away from the comp and rest, that's the best thing you can do...
