    I think you are all missing the point. There's a certain way of thanking someone that implies that you, the person who did the work, "donated" your effort, and the thanks is little more than an indication that the project is now no longer your concern, and that the credit ultimately goes elsewhere despite your ideas.

    Being thanked is a matter of creative ownership. It's where you are indicated as the origin of the creation, and if this implication is not there, its frustrating. Something that for some creative people, transcends the notion that people working for agencies should just be grateful and complacent as the wheels turn (which I am hearing from some of you).

    "Thanks for all your help" sounds different than "What you did is awesome" to me. One is just "polite". The other is an actual indication the creation was engendered from you. If you are not thanked properly, you don't retain creative ownership, leaving it open to be usurped.

    Lando and 5timuli seem to grasp my meaning.
