Teleos, I just don't believe in the concept of "sin" as defined in alot of Christian doctrine - i.e. something that separates us from a personal relationship with god - because well I don't believe in the Christian concept of god, nor do I believe in a deity that takes a personal interest in humans, so I can neither do anything to alienate such a being, nor do I believe one is born "bad". It's a nihlistic concept I reject whole heartedly and believe it keeps humanity from progress against suffering in the world. If one is always walking around wondering about the state of one's personal relationship with this god guy (goalposts, always fuzzy) and trying to stay within whatever are his good graces as interpreted by whoever is making such interpretations in one's environment, well, that's pretty self centered and dysfunctional.
