From what I've read, you can leave these laptops on for days and days in sleep mode, right? I'm primarily using mine as a desktop in closed mode, so as long as I can get it to work with the external, I'll probably leave it that way for a while.
I read on a messageboard some comments by several people that said they never turn theirs off and never have any problems.
