    TheBlueOne,

The version laid out in very clear language in the Bible is the correct version of what Christianity looks like. The ultimate role-model is Christ. The truth is not teleos/flagellum's opinion, it is not my opinion, it is not the opinion of people who twist truth to suit their own agendas.

Unfortunately, since Christ is seated at the right hand of God and is not currently, physically tangible for us, the world only sees the behavior of those who claim to be His followers. Being humans, we are not perfect. Also, every religion has its true adherents and it's hordes of heretics and payers of lip service. Christianity is no different in this regard. Occasionally, we can see Christ-ianity exemplified in the life of a person who depends on God as their sustainer and savior. In such cases it is the Holy Spirit working in a person, instilling a desire to grow, love, and change into a better person. The motivation is gratitude, because we do not deserve Christ's love; we cannot approach God; but because our debt was ledgered to His account, because the Maker of all things loved us so much that he suffered, died and went to hell so that whomever believes will be spared. Thus, we are eternally paid for, and owe Him eternal allegiance for taking the bullet meant for us all.

    • ok.... Or, perhaps, it could all be bollocks?dr_pangloss
    • That's a better option than only buying selective truths from the Bible.gramme
    • ...it's more intellectually honest.gramme
