As I'm not really feeling the logos, it's hard for me to comment on the type choice - first one's entirely non-offensive, whilst the second one is a bit too rectangular for me. I'd *consider* doing that most unholy of things and squishing it vertically a little - just to see what it looks like.. but that's probably a terrible idea.
I understand what neverblink is saying about the second type being 'literally too cube', but that doesn't necessarily bother me.
