Wow, it gets better with each episode! I always thought time-travel was a part of it, but that the writers would never get into that because it will turn a lot of people off from the show. You still can't say exactly what the hell is going on, but this episode did have a great story behind it.
I think Desmond and Penny are the only couple I can stand on this show (besides Rose and Bernard, but they aren't shown that much anyway). They don't make me cringe and I don't want them to break up. Desmond looks quite nice with a haircut.
I thought Faraday could time-travel or something, but he probably can't since he's mostly healthy (he's a bit of a "mad scientist" though). Unless he found some way to not die. But really, after meeting Desmond, he probably just wanted to write that part down in his journal in case he did go insane or in case another present/future experience came about to him again.
