The route I used to take daily, from Stoke Newington to Highbury Corner would sometimes verge on the frightful - once, the last bus didn't come and, horror upon horrors, I actually had to walk the distance home. It took nearly half an hour, a hellish experience in which I saw drunks, speeding cars and a litter lout.
I'll never forget the look on sweet Petulia's face as I crossed the threshold of our humble abode. I promised my dear I'd never divest her of her sense of comfort again. And I never have.
- I work just off Highbury Corner. I have inherited your world. *Shudderscreative-
- I'm reading the Edward Burra biography at the moment and I swear you're him reincarnated at times.Spookytim
- I hate you, spooky.detritus
- WHUT???
WHY????Spookytim - "Although not openly gay, Burra, for his time, possessed a decidedly camp sensibility."
http://en.wikipedia.…detritus - Its your writing style not your sexual polarity that reminds me of him. He was a great.Spookytim
