  Thanks draydog, we're looking to rent at first and certainly I've become familiar with the housing market in the bay area. I think we'll likely be looking for somewhere down the peninsula as opposed to in or just around SF. Ideally a small house, residential area. The quieter and more "rural" the better for us.

  I got a similar tip on the farmer's markets – just need to find out whats around the Palo Alto area for now and when.
