I think the original Akira anime was a perfect translation of the manga into one single film. Have any of you read the manga? It's incredibly detailed, and the story is hugeeeee.
I've always thought, if they were to adapt it to live-action, it would be much better served as a 10-part mini-series on HBO or somethin.
