Chin up chief.
You will look back on this time with fond memories in years to come, when you remember that you were a badass who beat up 3 guys and got thrown in jail after they tried to steal your girlfriend (before you subsequently realisied that you didnt love her and agreed, mutually, to go your separate ways and still be friends until she caught you with her better-looking friend, but thats another story.)
But then, time does cloud the memory. And those memories, if entertaining enough, can then be exchanged for drinks.
And on another note, if your looks don't gag a cat then you're gonna be sorted finding a new lady. If your looks do tend to gag cats then think of the entertainment value in owning cats who you can piss off easily.
