    i have a buffalo drive which comes with software that immediately backsup as soon as a file is saved. This in turn is backed up to a tera station. Surprisingly there is very little hit on performance. The buffalo drive comes with me every night, plus the daily data is written to tape and taken by someone else.

    The buffalo drive was only £125 for 750 GB and there were also !TB and 2 TB versions available. I would recommend it depending on the amount of data you have to back up
