A friend in our neighborhood is now a photo archivist, spent 20 years as a corporate chemist. We asked her at a party "So can you make acid?"
She said "its unbelievably difficult to do it right. Our professor in school said anyone who could figure it out, gets an instant A for the year."
She never got it.
