    I'm not going to say Vancouver sucks because I have never been there.

    Of course people will dislike Ottawa. Instead of saying "it sucks" all the time, just come up with some things you don't like about it so I can understand where you are coming from.

    Yes, there is not much culture here compared to Montreal or Toronto, for example. I know a lot of students who come here because their parents want their kids to actually concentrate on studying and not just on friends (for one example). All of the major museums are here though, and some people like the city for that reason (I don't really care). I don't like certain parts of Montreal because of the driving. Toronto is great, but the driving sucks there too. I think I would avoid the busses in those cities compared to Ottawa, which is a lot safer (particularly to raise a family in).

    So it depends on a lot of things.
