    ok.. so they still haven't fixed it...

    I had to download their easysite maker and see if that would upload to the site, which it did... I then hacked the xml files so it would create a frameset... and then trick it into uploading that...
    which now points to another server I've put my site onto...

    I'm now looking for a reliable provider... anyone know what the dedicated virtual server is like with media temple...
    I'm not getting grid server as it is slow as hell... even though they don't believe me! anyone?
