I think the list is pretty accurate of me and most of my friends...but I think it's more of the stereotypical "creative white person" I know tons of people who love everything thats fed to them by pop culture and just eat it up...I'm not saying some of it isn't good...but a lot of people (black or white) take what they're given and have no real opinion of their own, they just like it because its cool and popular and generally acceptable. As far as indie cinema goes, some blockbuster mega smash hits are great from time to time, and quite a few indie films have been "groundbreaking"....but its all the stuff in-between that bothers me...like the crappy indie movies (which quite a few / most are, in fact, crappy) and the middle of the road big budget "dad movies" like Wild Hogs or wanna be smash hits like Grindhouse (though Deathproof was actually pretty good). I know plenty of people who never considered studying film, or have ever even heard of Michel Gondry (though I own the very dvd on the page) and Wes Anderson is a genius. All in all I can agree with most things on the page, though, I dont see it as being accurate for everyone. I must say, though, that to have that kind of insider info, the writer of the blog must be a paleface like me.
