    I think its a great step forward to recognise the wrongs of the past, but the whole issue will get trivialised by tabloids and horrible shows like ACA. I hope it just dosn't turn into a pat on the back for white australia. "we have apologised 'aint we great!" I tend to agree with Pilger, that the whole thing is geared for White Australia so the general population can feel better about themselves. At the end of the day no amount of words will make up for what happened, but at least its a step in the right direction.
