    Its hard to see it 'purely' with the afformentioned jpg compression but if I knock my eyes out of focus a tad it looks nicer. I do like the lettering, but I don't like the tonal variations in the lettering becuase it looks a bit 'stainy' and a bit 'soaked' and a bit heavy in the dark zones...generally not as elegant and light on its feet as I would expect this logo to be.

    I would do a nice clean curved vector trace off and stick to a flat colour, and I think the actual letteform and type arrangement is really nice.
