    this isn't the first time that polaroid has come back from disaster. in 2001 they had to file for bankruptcy protection. i remember the price of existing stocks shooting up and people filling freezers with film thinking thats was it.

    same thing happened when kodak stopped making 35mm infra red. another company started producing it.

    same thing happened when ilford went under. another company bought the pieces and started selling ilford products again.

    the technology is dead but there is still a value in the name and mystique of the product
