I didn't like film photography. I loved the images, but I felt the business model was a scam and film was a sort of an interim way to capture photos. I know, I know.. but that's how it felt. I wanted to take pictures, but paying for each shot felt like paying for razors. Did you know Gillette had bought a patent for the metallic glass razor years ago? It's a technology that allows you to produce a razor blade that doesn't get blunt for months and months of continuous use. They keep it locked in their safes, to make sure it's never used. It would kill their business. We're lucky FujiFilm or Kodak never patented digital pictures!
When the digital photography arrived, I was sure this was what I'd waited for: digital quality and free shutter actuations. No scanning! I was sure I'd get to enjoy film photography eventually, as a rather expensive hobby.All this said.. I never owned a polaroid camera. Never fired a shot. Did I stock up today? Fuck yeah and it's not for resale!
