hey, sorry haven't read all the posts but have you considered calling up the people who didn't employ you and asking for honest feedback? it's important you come across as being extremely open when you do this so that they don't just tell you what they think you want to hear... and you could make a better portfolio site while you're waiting for that job to come through, even if it's simple.
