The year was 2001, and I had just returned home from a long and arduous space odyssey. It was a Thursday evening, my body still feeling the rigors of Shaper training, I found myself sitting at my desk reviewing samples and analysing data we had collected from the Neotenic Cultural Republic. While sifting through some particularly crude noting taken by one of the Mechanist cartels from the Fortuna Miners' Democracy I noticed something strange and fascinating... There was a reoccurnce of this glyph of which I had never seen the likes of. It cast a haunting red glow that appeared to be created by a group of post-humans possibly even Investors... After running the glyph through further analytics, it turned out to be what the Preservationists called a 'logo' - a corporate marking used to designate territory from rival clans. This particlur 'logo' contained the phrase "QBN"... I scanned the Mare Serenitatis Circumlunar Corporate Republic archives and found that this "QBN" was the governing body of a disperate community known as "Newstoday" It immediately fascinated me, both intellectually and erotically and since that day, I've never left her side...
