An acquaintance (drug and alcohol–addled musician) announced to his girlfriend’s entire contact list that he was dead and that they (his friends) should all be ashamed of themselves for not being there for him in his time of need. With no funeral forthcoming, said friends – wracked with guilt – tried contacting his girlfriend via phone. When that yielded no results, some paid a personal visit, upon which musician was discovered alive and (relatively) well. Needless to say, to his friends, he is indeed a ghost nowadays.
